The Hamon process was used by the Japanese bladesmiths of old , coating the blade in clay to harden only the exposed edge creating a pattern steel.

Feels good in the hand and the thumb rest provides a spine ride up control point. Add a lanyard to the rear handle

The maple is stabilized by us in house so it will not take up moisture or expand and contract.
